An honest note
I can never guarantee a match, or even a date. It takes two to tango.
I only connect two people when they meet each other's criteria and I believe there's serious potential for marriage. Timing varies from person to person, and some people wait many months before their first match. There's no fee to go on a date and no limit to how many dates you can be set up on.
Expect quality over quantity. Every couple I've matched found each other on their first or second DBD introduction. This is precision work!

The big payment comes when you're engaged.
Many American-style matchmakers charge $5,000 to $50,000 or more up front for a contracted amount of time. I follow the traditional model of shadchanus gelt instead: the most significant payment is made when you are, in fact, matched.
It's paid within 30 days of engagement, typically about 5% of the couple's combined annual income, with a $5,400 minimum. Many families take it on as part of the wedding journey, right up there with the ring and the venue, and many choose a multiple of chai for the symbolism.
