Shelby's journey to Aaron was a modern-day princess-and-the-frog story. A few months after a breakup, an old fling texted her. Things hadn't worked out between them, but he said she was still "really cool" and should sign up for a "Jewish matchmaking thing" a friend of his was starting. Shelby replied with a certain finger emoji… then signed up anyway. Aaron, meanwhile, was lucky enough to be born into Delaney's inner circle: they're cousins!

Aaron, being Delaney's cousin, gave her absolutely nothing to go on, but luckily, Delaney had a hunch.
